Doggy Daycare
A Daycare Program for Social Dogs
At Airdrie Puppy Pals, our dog daycare is where the happiest dogs come to play, learn, and feel at home. Our daytime program is designed specifically for dogs who enjoy being around other dogs and feel comfortable in a group setting.
Playgroups and learning games are thoughtfully planned in advance based on play style and temperament. All interactions are closely supervised, and each day is shaped around the individual needs of the dogs in our care. Because our daycare supports a range of personalities and energy levels, no two days look exactly the same.
How Our Daycare Works
Every day at Airdrie Puppy Pals is shaped by the dogs in our care. Playgroups are planned in advance based on who is attending, each dog’s energy level, play style, and how they interact with other dogs and our team. This planning allows us to create balanced groups where dogs can enjoy safe, positive play and learning throughout the day.
Each dog’s experience looks a little different. Some dogs love to wrestle and chase, others prefer sniffing, exploring, or quiet companionship, and most enjoy a mix of activity and downtime. Rather than enforcing rigid rest periods, we monitor the group closely and adjust the day as needed to support comfort, safety, and enjoyment for everyone.
Our team manages the group proactively and keeps a close eye on behavior, energy levels, and interactions. If we notice any changes or have concerns, we will always reach out to you so you’re kept informed.
Outdoor breaks are built into the routine as well. Dogs head outside for supervised bathroom breaks several times throughout the day to support healthy habits and help maintain a steady group rhythm.
We enjoy sharing glimpses of daycare life and regularly post photos and updates on our social media channels so families can see what their dogs are up to.
More Than Just Play
What sets our daycare apart is the care and intention we bring to every part of the day. We look beyond simple group play and focus on creating an environment where dogs can feel comfortable, supported, and successful.
Our team pays close attention to emotional well-being, group dynamics, and individual needs. Playgroups are planned thoughtfully, interactions are supervised proactively, and adjustments are made throughout the day based on how dogs are responding. This allows us to support a wide range of play styles while helping dogs stay relaxed and engaged.
Because our background includes training and behavior education, we naturally reinforce polite social skills and calm behavior during the daycare day. This doesn’t turn daycare into a training class, but it does mean dogs are guided thoughtfully and consistently as they move through play, rest, and group activities.
We believe dogs do best when they feel understood, and families do best when they feel informed. That’s why we take the time to get to know each dog and maintain open communication with the people who trust us with their care.
What Makes Us Different
At Airdrie Puppy Pals, daycare is about more than free play. Throughout the day, dogs are supported in practicing skills that make group life smoother and more enjoyable, such as waiting at doors, responding to their name, settling after play, and navigating polite social interactions. These moments are guided by our team using positive reinforcement and thoughtful supervision.
Learning happens naturally as part of the day, alongside play, rest, and individual attention. This approach helps dogs build confidence, practice self-regulation, and enjoy their time in a structured group environment.
For families who would like a little extra variety or enrichment, we offer optional add-ons that can be included during your dog’s daycare day:
Enrichment puzzles and simple agility-style games
One-on-one training sessions
On-leash walks or supervised field trips
Spa services such as baths and nail trims
Enrichment treats like frozen Kongs, lick mats, or pup cups
Seasonal activities and photo keepsakes
Everything your dog needs is provided during their stay. To get started, all dogs begin with an in-person Meet and Greet to ensure daycare is a good fit.
Is Daycare the Right Fit?
To help keep dogs healthy, comfortable, and able to enjoy their daycare day, we follow veterinarian-recommended vaccination guidelines and a few enrollment requirements.
Dogs attending daycare must:
Be up to date on Rabies, DA2PP, and Kennel Cough vaccinations
Be on a preventative flea, tick, and lice program (recommended)
Be at least 16 weeks of age to start daycare
Be spayed or neutered if over 8 months of age
Be comfortable participating in mixed-size playgroups
Attend daycare at least twice per month to stay familiar with our space, team, and routine
These requirements help us support positive group experiences, maintain safety, and ensure dogs feel comfortable and confident during their time with us.
Getting Started
All dogs begin daycare with an in-person Meet and Greet. This visit allows us to get to know your dog, introduce them to the space, and make sure daycare is a good fit for everyone.
During the Meet and Greet, we’ll:
Learn about your dog’s personality, play style, and routine
Observe how your dog interacts with other dogs and a few of our team members
Answer your questions about daycare, scheduling, and expectations
If daycare feels like a good fit, we’ll help you plan your dog’s first day and walk you through next steps.
We believe starting thoughtfully helps dogs feel comfortable and confident from the very beginning.
