Now Hiring: Dog Care Specialists
Airdrie Puppy Pals is hiring part-time Dog Care Specialists! This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend your days with dogs, connect with their humans, and grow in a warm, family-run environment that truly cares. We provide paid training so no formal experience is needed—just a great attitude, a love for dogs, and a willingness to learn. Starting wage is minimum wage plus tips and commission, with the chance to move into a full-time position after training. We schedule shifts between 5:30 AM and 8:30 PM, seven days a week based on your availability and the needs of our Puppy Pals! If this sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
As a Dog Care Specialist, your job is to keep our Puppy Pals safe, happy, and engaged throughout the day. That includes:
Supervising groups of dogs in a playroom setting.
One-on-one playtime, training and enrichment activities.
Taking photos and videos of dogs during the day.
Cleaning and sanitizing (mopping, washing bowls, disinfecting surfaces/toys, and picking up poop).
Greeting and speaking with clients during drop-off and pick-up in a friendly, confident, and professional manner.
Writing creative, personalized daily updates for Puppy Pal parents.
Working with teammates to maintain a positive, respectful, safety-focused workplace.
Performing other duties as required to support the dogs in our care.
Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone who is dependable, enjoys working with people and animals, and is comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Must be + 18 years of age
Must have reliable transportation.
Reliable and punctual
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional customer service
This is a physically active role that involves walking, bending, stairs and standing.
Previous experience in dog care or customer service is an asset but not required. Paid training is provided!
