Dog Care Specialist

This is an active, hands-on position at our dog daycare. Dog Care Specialists support dogs throughout the day by guiding group play, monitoring behavior, and helping create a positive experience for every dog in our care.

No formal experience is required. We provide paid training, mentoring, and ongoing support. What matters most is a positive attitude, comfort working with dogs of all sizes, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

As a Dog Care Specialist, your role is to support the dogs in our care throughout the day by creating a safe, engaging, and positive environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising groups of dogs in a playroom setting

  • Guiding group and one-on-one play, enrichment, and learning activities

  • Observing dog behavior and responding thoughtfully to group dynamics

  • Taking photos and videos of dogs during the day

  • Greeting clients during drop-off and pick-up in a friendly, confident, and professional manner

  • Writing creative, personalized daily updates for dog parents

  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, including mopping, washing bowls, disinfecting surfaces and toys, and cleaning play areas

  • Working closely with teammates to support safety, communication, and a respectful workplace

  • Assisting with other duties as needed to support the dogs and the team

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Hold a Class 5 driver’s license and have reliable transportation

  • Bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn

  • Have strong customer service and communication skills

This is a physically active role that involves walking, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs, using stairs, and standing for extended periods throughout the day.
