Jr Puppy Class
A five week learn and play class for, social pups who enjoy off leash play and positive training around other dogs. We focus on listening with distractions, building confidence in a busy environment, and rewarding learning with supervised off leash group playtime.
Dogs of all sizes are welcome as long as they are comfortable with dogs of all sizes and people. Dog must have their up to date Rabies vaccine to join Jr Puppy Class.
What Is Jr Puppy Class?
Jr Puppy Class is a five week learn and play program for friendly, social puppies between 4 and 9 months old. It is designed for pups who enjoy being around other dogs and are ready to practice listening with distractions in a fun, supportive environment.
We use positive reinforcement and reward learning with supervised off leash playtime. Puppies of all sizes work together based on age, not size, and classes are held indoors. This class is not a place to learn to be social. Puppies must already be comfortable with new dogs and people.
What Jr Puppies Learn in Class
As puppies grow into teenagers, they often have more energy and curiosity. Jr Puppy Class gives them a fun, structured place to practice listening with distractions and continue to build confidence around other dogs and people.
Jr Puppies learn to pay attention around movement and noise, settle on a mat, and come back when called during off leash play. We also introduce simple tricks like spin, crawl, and roll over to keep learning fun and engaging. Each class includes supervised off leash socialization time with mixed size puppies who are 4 to 9 months old.
You will leave each week with practical tips you can use right away at home.
When Can Jr Puppies Start?
Your puppy can join Jr Puppy Class once they have received their Rabies vaccine, usually around 16 weeks of age, and attend until they are 9 months old. Classes include both on leash learning time and supervised off leash play with puppies of different sizes and energy levels.
Play with Jr Puppies can be exciting and sometimes high energy. If you or your Puppy Pal might be unsure in a mixed size, learn and play environment, please contact us before registering so we can help you find the right fit.
How Jr Puppy Is Different
Jr Puppy Class is designed for friendly, social puppies who learn best with movement, play, and gentle guidance around other dogs. It is a good fit for pups who enjoy being in a group and are ready to practice listening with distractions before moving into a more structured class.
Minding Our Manners is a different program. It is a no play, skills based class for dogs who are ready to focus without off leash social time. Jr Puppy Class is not a place to learn to be social and is not suitable for nervous, unsure, or reactive dogs.
What to Bring To Jr Puppy Class
A flat collar or harness, a standard 4–6 foot leash, high value treats your Jr Puppy loves, and your Jr Puppy’s Rabies vaccination records.
A Note About Jr Handlers
Jr. Handlers under 18 are welcome to attend as long as they stay with their Puppy Pal and their parent or guardian throughout the entire class. For safety, space and comfort, no more than two people per Jr Puppy.
Ready To Register for Jr Puppy?
Puppy Class is $195 +GST for the full five week course.
Your Jr Puppy must be at least 16 weeks old for their first class and no older than 9 months old by the final class.
