Dog Behavior Consulting
We offer behavior support for dogs of all ages. If you are looking for support with fear, anxiety, separation distress, excessive barking, destructive behavior, reactivity, resource guarding, or aggression, we are here to help.
Behavior support is designed to understand why your dog is behaving the way they are and build a plan that works for both you and your dog.
Behavior Support sessions are offered virtually via Zoom, in your home (Airdrie), or at Airdrie Puppy Pals in Kings Heights. To make sure we choose the right setting for your dog, all Behavior Support begins with a complimentary phone call.
How Behavior Support Helps
Dog behavior consulting can help when you are seeing behaviors such as:
Aggression toward people or other dogs
Bite incidents, nipping, or close calls
Lunging, barking, or freezing on leash
Fearful, anxious, or shut-down behavior
Separation anxiety or distress when left alone
Ongoing or intense barking at home or out on walks
Safety concerns around children, visitors, or unfamiliar people
Resource guarding over food, toys, spaces, or people
Destructive behavior when left alone or in certain situations
Uncertainty or overreaction in everyday situations like car rides, grooming, or new environments
If any of this sounds familiar, we are here to help. Book a free discovery call to talk through what you are seeing and figure out the best place to start.
Dog Behavior Consulting
Dog behavior consulting and private training begin with a free phone call. This call gives us time to talk about your dog, your concerns, and what support may be helpful.
Dog behavior consulting sessions are offered one-on-one, either virtually or in your home, depending on your location and needs.
After the phone call, the next step may be a behavior assessment. This is a private session focused on understanding your dog’s behavior in daily life.
Behavior Assessments
The goal is to build understanding and create a behavior plan that supports both you and your dog. A behavior assessment may include:
Reviewing your dog’s history, environment, and daily routines
Identifying triggers, behavior patterns, and early warning signs
Observing body language and stress signals
