Daycare

Where social dogs come to learn and play. The happiest dogs in Airdrie!

At Airdrie Puppy Pals, our dog daycare is where Airdrie’s happiest dogs come to play, learn, and feel at home. Our daytime program is designed for dogs who enjoy being around others. Playgroups and learning games are always supervised and planned in advance based on playstyle and temperament. Every day is shaped by the individual needs of the dogs in our care—no two days look the same.

We’re open weekdays from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and weekends from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. We’re closed on holidays. Daycare is $40 + GST per day.

Ready to join the fun? Every dog begins with an in‑person Meet and Greet. It’s our way to make sure we’re the right fit for each other and to start building a relationship from day one.

What Makes Us Different

We know there are other dog daycare options in Airdrie, but what sets us apart is the extra care we take before, during, and after each visit. We go beyond simple group play.

Our team focuses on emotional wellness, proactive supervision, and ongoing communication with you. We plan playgroups thoughtfully, pay attention to how each dog is feeling, and adjust throughout the day to make sure everyone stays comfortable and happy. We treat every dog as an individual and every family as part of ours.

We're also a team of trainers, not just caregivers. That means we're always reinforcing good manners, guiding behaviour with kindness, and helping your dog become the best version of themselves—even during daycare.

Our Team

Airdrie Puppy Pals is locally owned and operated, built by people who live here and care about this community. We're proud to run an award-winning dog daycare and boarding facility where every dog is known, understood, and supported from the moment they arrive.

Dogs do best when they're with people they trust. Our team focuses on clear communication, gentle guidance, and a calm environment where dogs can play, learn, and relax with confidence. Every part of the day—from group planning to enrichment—is designed for safety, comfort, and good behaviour.

Our owner, Nikki Nordick, brings more than ten years of experience in dog behaviour and training. She's certified through the IAABC and CBCC-KA, Fear Free Certified, and a member of the APDT. Under her guidance, our team uses positive reinforcement and low-stress handling. We keep learning and improving so your dog always receives the kind of care we'd want for our own.

How Our Day Works

Every day at Airdrie Puppy Pals is shaped by the dogs in our care. We plan playgroups 24 hours in advance based on who's attending, their energy levels, and how they interact with one another and our team. This lets us build balanced groups where every dog can enjoy safe, positive play and learning.

Every dog's day looks a little different. Some love to wrestle and chase, others prefer to snuggle and sniff, and most enjoy a mix of both with naps in between. We don't force rest time, we read the room and manage the group proactively so every dog has a great day. If we notice any behaviour changes or have concerns, we'll always give you a call.

Outdoor breaks are built into the routine too. Dogs go outside for supervised pee breaks several times a day to support healthy habits and keep the group rhythm steady.

More Than Just Play

We like to think of dog daycare as dog school. Every day includes group learning and individual attention built right into the program. Dogs practice real‑life skills like door manners, recall, calm greetings, and polite play—all through positive reinforcement and guided social time.

For extra fun and variety, we offer optional add‑ons that give your dog more exercise, enrichment, and one‑on‑one time with our team. You can mix and match whatever fits your pup best:

  • Enrichment puzzles and agility games

  • Private training sessions

  • On‑leash walks and field trips to the dog park

  • Spa services including baths and nail trims

  • Frozen Kongs, licky mats, and pup cups

  • Seasonal crafts and photo keepsakes

You don’t need to bring anything—we provide everything your dog needs for a great day. Book a Meet and Greet to get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours and pricing?
We're open weekdays from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and weekends from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Daycare is $40 + GST per day. (Pricing subject to change.)

How do I join dog daycare?
The first step is to schedule a Meet and Greet through our online calendar. Plan for about 30 to 45 minutes—we'll sit down to learn about your dog, then do a play style assessment to make sure we're a good fit for each other.

How do I book after the Meet and Greet?
We use an online platform called Paw Partner. After your dog has completed their Meet and Greet and a trial day, you'll be able to book future visits through your account. We ask for 24 hours notice for all bookings and cancellations.

What does my dog do all day?
Every dog's day looks a little different. Some love to wrestle and play, others prefer to hang back and watch, and most enjoy a mix of both with naps in between. Our playrooms are mixed-size, and we proactively manage the group to make sure every dog has a great day.

Why do you have a minimum of two Daycare visits every month?
We ask for twice a month visits because dogs do best when they feel familiar with the space, the people, and the routine. Regular attendance helps dogs settle in quickly, play comfortably, and move through the day with confidence. It also helps us build safe playgroups, since we learn each dog’s personality and comfort level. This steady rhythm keeps daycare safe, happy, and stress free for everyone.

Is daycare right for my dog?
Our program is designed for social dogs who are comfortable around dogs of all sizes. It's not the right fit for dogs who need support with anxiety, reactivity, or aggression. If that sounds like your dog, Private Training might be a better place to start.

Do you offer overnight boarding?
Yes! Sleepovers are available for dogs who are active members of our daycare community. After your dog has been with us for at least 30 days, you can schedule boarding.
